I’ve been involved in a variety of activities and projects over the years, mostly film-related stuff that I have worked on when I lived in Los Angeles, like my various shorts. I won’t recount them all here, though you will see at this site some posts from my old blog, An Animal-Friendly Life, that trace my development as a blogger and activist from 2005 to 2008. Also, while buying a house and remodeling it is a huge project, or series of projects, I’m thinking more along the lines of what I’m doing ‘professionally’ as an advocate or as an entrepreneur, not my more personal projects, though stuff like that may find it’s way to the blog. (Reality check in March 2018: I haven’t posted almost anything here in 3 years.) I am thinking of broadening the scope to include technology stuff, since that is the focus of my employment these days, particularly as it relates to Apple.
In 2007, I started a vegan advocacy group called the Boston Vegan Association. It evolved quite a bit through its various incarnations, to the point where it wasn’t fair to even call it the same organization. In 2009, I produced and directed a series of videos about everyday vegans called I’m Vegan, and later that year I also co-founded a vegan pizzeria called Peace o’ Pie. In 2014, BVA gave way to the International Vegan Association and IVA-Boston. Please visit those sites for details about what is currently going on with those. I’m especially pleased to share the IVA’s Vegan Starter Kit. Currently I’m working as an IT consultant in New England.
